This week's post marks the beginning of a series of transitional looks, geared towards helping you beginning to bring out your lighter weather clothes for spring, even if it's still cold where you live.

The dress featured in this look is an absolutely beautiful dress from Anthropologie. I bought it last year, along with a really cute pair of pj pants. I'm wearing the Zara Ribbed Knit Dress I bought earlier this year, under the dress, because it's still too cold to wear the unlined dress by itself in NYC.

The Zara dress provides some much needed warmth, and brings the neckline up on the dress, helping to make the fun wrap dress more appropriate for the office. I paired this look with a trench, the timeless spring jacket, great for any atmosphere. This trench, a trendy take on the classic trench style, is an over-sized, drapey cut. To me, the drapey look goes great with the whimsical dress.

This look is more appropriate for business casual and casual offices. The playfulness of the dress is not appropriate for a conservative office in my option. Even if you put a blazer on with it, the dress is just to fun for a more conservative office.

Be sure to sign up for the newsletter so you don't miss any of the transitional looks I'll be posting over the next couple of weeks. Although it is officially spring, NYC doesn't really get warm until the end of May, so I'll be wearing a lot of these looks in my daily life.
